Navtronics Marine Group Joins Southport Boats Network

Southport Boats, a division of Maritime Marine Group, LLC, is pleased to announce the addition of Navtronics Marine Group of York to the Southport Boats dealer network. Navtronics will represent the Southport 27′ through 29′ Center Console and Express fishing boats throughout Maine and New Hampshire.

Navtronics Marine Group approaches new boat sales with a background in a wide range of marine services. For the last twenty years, Navtronics has specialized in the sale and installation of high end marine electronics, working closely with boat owners as well as service yards, builders and designers. Since 2002, under the direction of company President Tim Greer, the company has diversified its offerings to better serve customers. Merging with Redman Marine Fabricators allowed Navtronics to bring customers not only the electronics package but also custom aluminum and stainless steel fabrications. And the addition of Navtronics Marine Outfitters makes them the preferred source in Southern Maine and New Hampshire for high end tackle and marine supplies along with marine canvas and marine safety equipment. Southport Boats was the next logical step.

According to Navtronics President Tim Greer, “We’ve built our business by understanding our core customers – people who love the water. People like us. People who appreciate high end products and deserve exceptional personal service. We were not interested in any boat line, but the offshore pedigree and performance of the Southport design along with the Maine-built quality and craftsmanship makes Southport Boats a perfect match for our clientele.”

Asked about this latest additions to the Southport Boats dealer network, company President Ian Kopp commented, “Navtronics Marine Group aligns with our business philosophy perfectly. Our Southport dealer partners are all very much focused on a more personal approach to boat sales, offering buyers and owners a full suite of services. As customers seek to personalize and customize their Southport, both Marine Concepts and Navtronics have the on-the-water experience and the product offerings so that both the hardcore offshore fisherman and the family boat buyer will get the professional attention they deserve.” Kopp also notes that Navtronics has partnered with Southport Boats since the move to Maine as the fabricator for their new Premium Fiberglass T-Top and as the installer for the factory certified OEM electronics packages.

By early May Navtronics will be receiving a stunning flag blue Southport 27 Center Console with customized teak accents. And no doubt the boat will also show off the industry’s latest electronics offerings.
