Celebrating Food, Wine, and Foliage in Blue Hill

The seventh annual Blue Hill Peninsula’s Wine, Food & Foliage Festival, held October 4-14, is a great way to see a gorgeous part of the coast and taste some of the best local food anywhere. The festival’s signature event, “A Taste of the Peninsula,” was held Oct. 6 and featured harvests from both land and sea. Micah from Atlantic Holdfast Seaweed Company, based in Stonington, shared tastes of his product at the Blue Hill Coop booth. Little Island Oysters, who grow the native bivalves in the Bagaduce River, generously shared oysters with a cucumber mignonette.

Another wonderful — and tasty — way to celebrate the coast! For more information about the Blue Hill Peninsula’s Wine, Food & Foliage Festival, click here.
