Lyman-Morse to Launch New Hunt-Designed Motoryacht

Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding Company has teamed up again with one of our most successful design partners – C. Raymond Hunt – to build an able, fast, 42′ flybridge twin jet boat. The owners are looking forward to extended cruising along the Maine coast and islands in comfort and safety. With attention to being self-sufficient and quiet, this new design carries the most modern and efficient equipment available.

Lyman-Morse will host a public celebration on Friday, June 7, to celebrate the launching of this new motoryacht, to be christened Peregrine. Refreshments will be served, with a private event for the owner and guests to follow.

Peregrine‘s hull is a full-deadrise deep-V with integral chine and lift strakes. The hull shell was infused in one of Lyman-Morse’s existing Hunt 38 female molds, previously used for a number of other successful projects. Custom sheer, transom insert, and jet intake mounting insert pads were added to give the boat its 42 feet. A new deck and flybridge mold were built for this project.

The interior is styled in mahogany; in true Lyman-Morse style, the rich varnished woodwork finished to the highest standards.

The launching will be held at Lyman-Morse’s boatyard in Thomaston at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 7. We welcome you to join us to celebrate this exciting event!
