There is a new girl in town! Kiwi Spirit, built by Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding of Thomaston, Maine, arrived in St. Augustine yesterday. You are going to be hearing quite a bit about her and her owner, Stanley Paris, in the weeks ahead. Dr. Paris plans to depart St. Augustine on Nov 30th to break the following records:
•Oldest to solo circumnavigate, non-stop and non-assisted – (Dr. Paris is 76 years old)
•First to complete a green voyage – no gas, diesel, propane, etc
•Break the 150-day record from Bermuda and back
•Establish a St. Augustine and back record via Bermuda.
